OTL: Belcher's Brain had CTE Signs
September 30, 2014
Dr. Piotr Kozlowski, the dean of research and pathology at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, conducted a study on the brain of former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, who shot and killed his girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself in 2012. He found that Belcher's brain showed signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), the same brain damage diagnosed posthumously in dozens of deceased NFL players.
