Library Advisory Subcommittee

Mission

The faculty publications database was created by the Touro College Library in recognition of the importance of collecting and monitoring the College’s scholarly research and communication production. By collecting as well as making accessible the bibliographic information of scholarly activities, the research strengths of a college becomes more visible.

Additionally, this information is useful to current and potential faculty members and students, accrediting agencies, fundraising agencies, and administrators. The Library Advisory Research Council seeks to:

• Establish a formal communications link between the Library, the faculty/researchers, and the College administration.
• Support the Library in reviewing and updating submissions criteria.
• Provide academic feedback and advice.
